Re: Player Record feature

I used to do that manually, via spreadsheet. It was pretty fun looking at the results of past games years later. Doing it manually allowed me to customize fonts, add titles, calculate total winning percentage, total loss percentage, total draw percentage, winning streaks, losing streaks, pretty much ...

Re: Poland 39 Hype Thread

It will be very interesting to see how the AI acts in this one. If I'm the Poles will I beat the Germans no matter how bad I play, every time? Something else of interest to me would be just how effective are the included Soviet forces? Can a player control them or are they always neutral? If a ...

Re: Losses Recovery

Ya, I know what you mean. I don't think I ever had the chance to use the system. Theoretically speaking, I like the system though. I'm hoping the next update will cover that in more detail. It would add a little bit more strategical thinking to the series. I hear there will be battlegroups and ...

Re: Losses Recovery

It's under Replacements in the User Manual. Instead of recovery of losses, the player receives replacement points, which in turn is spent on replacements. It's like that so the player has a choice of where the replacement is assigned. It's more strategic that way.

Re: Surrender of units

I think I figured it out, isolated units that are defending surrender after a round of combat. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: Surrender of units

See User Manual 5.5.4.1 Melee Retreat, this covers how a unit that is surrounded is removed if it loses a melee. An Isolated unit defends at 1/4 strength in melee so it is pretty easy to defeat in melee. A routed/isolated unit is overrun if meleed. I haven't had the pleasure of reading the User ...

Re: Skirmishers.

Most units can't deploy skirmishers, and some of those that can, can only deploy 1, so in total you will probably only have a fraction on the board at one time. Their called "Skirmishers", but they're actually detachments of armed troops. I guess their called "skirmishers" because most players use ...

You can read a thread on this particular topic here... https://www.theblitz.club/message_boards/showthread.php?tid=76071 (including some comments from Yours Truly as well as others) A quote from that discussion: Why AI Chess Bots Are Virtually Unbeatable (ft. GothamChess) | WIRED (youtube.com ...

Re: Map labels

It's been so long, I've played every single scenario multiple times. Been waiting patiently for a new title for about 20 years. From what I've seen and gathered from the "rumor mill", a new title is in development and it looks real good. No idea of its setting though, nor of an ETA.
