Re: Strange PBEM Error

The (1) is just an internal change when one of the turns was copied over - nothing which should change the actual data itself?

Strange PBEM Error

Morning all

I am currently playing a PBEM AoTR game and when trying to open up my next turn I get one of the two errors below:

Advance of the Reich or Eagle Strike

Hi all

Looking for an opponent for one or both of these games. I can do 4-5 turns a week depending up the needs of a toddler :D

Cheers

Firing weapons individually

I just wondered how often people generally tend to use their weapons separately vs as a whole. For example, if you are using a squad as a base of fire to enable the remaining squads to close with the enemy, is there any direct benefit to holding fire with the rifles and instead just using a BAR ...

Re: The one that started it all

Seems I'm not the only pack rat, have installation discs for everything from 95 to Win7. I still have my complete Battleground set, all 9 titles, bought Ardennes first then the ACW games when they came out. Eventually picked up the Nappy games when they were in the discounted bin for $5 each ...

Re: Tactics Advice

Thanks for the tips. It's hard to get out of a Napoleonic mindset, i.e. infantry can stand against cavalry. I stupidly didn't account for the fact that formations of musketeers include some pikes/stakes! Artillery feels particularly 'weak' but I could be expecting too much. Obvious this isn't shell ...

Re: Why is it so quiet here?

I would post more but it's a bit of a 'chicken or the egg' situation where there needs to be a critical mass to discuss things. I'm boringly interested in applying real world tactics to games and will make more of an effort to post my strifes on here going forward! I also have a 2 year old but ...
