The (1) is just an internal change when one of the turns was copied over - nothing which should change the actual data itself?

Thanks guys. Hadn't thought about saving the ammo for closer assaults. Probably one of many oversights I've had so far!

I just wondered how often people generally tend to use their weapons separately vs as a whole. For example, if you are using a squad as a base of fire to enable the remaining squads to close with the enemy, is there any direct benefit to holding fire with the rifles and instead just using a BAR ...

Seems I'm not the only pack rat, have installation discs for everything from 95 to Win7. I still have my complete Battleground set, all 9 titles, bought Ardennes first then the ACW games when they came out. Eventually picked up the Nappy games when they were in the discounted bin for $5 each ...

Thanks for the tips. It's hard to get out of a Napoleonic mindset, i.e. infantry can stand against cavalry. I stupidly didn't account for the fact that formations of musketeers include some pikes/stakes! Artillery feels particularly 'weak' but I could be expecting too much. Obvious this isn't shell ...
