Re: Squares covering artillery. Batteries continue to fire while covered.

In the historical context of Waterloo, the French only used cavalry to attack the British position, while the player can easily attack the square with a mixed column of infantry and cavalry. Removing the phalanx zoc will make square vulnerable unless new zoc for friendly mixed units is added.

snapshot error

When the map is large, such as Leipzig_074,the enlarged snapshot cannot be stored. Is it because the file is too large? Is it possible not to limit it?

Waterloo_v4.05-program data dialog-Extended Line Values

Extended Line Values
2-Line Infantry: 800 men 3-Line Infantry: 800 men Artillery: 8 guns

The number of 2-Line Infantry is the same as that of 3-Line Infantry.I don't know whether this is right or wrong.

Re: Some ideas about how to make the game more historical and balanced

I agree with your other views, but my opinion on the Column Pass Through Fire rule is a little different from yours. The solid bullets in the Napoleonic era are constantly bouncing on the ground, so they will hit multiple infantry units in the same hex. However, I agree with you that the current ...

Re: Some ideas about how to make the game more historical and balanced

In addition, I noticed that in the 4.05 update of Waterloo, Line units must now have a minimum strength in order to block units behind them ->max stacking/8=225.I don't know whether the rule will appear in other series of updates. There are some Russian infantry with less than 200 men in Leipzig ...
