Re: Rumyantsev Axis AAR - Soviets conceded turn 68
In the north-western part of the map, several hexes have obstacles instead of trenches. In some other titles, there's the occasional minefield instead of a trench or obstacle (due to obstacles and mines using the same button in the editor, I'd guess). 53, 2 58, 3 54, 8 55, 25 52, 26 54, 27 67, 33 ...

Re: Rumyantsev Axis AAR - Soviets conceded turn 68
Seriously though fantastic AAR. Two highly skilled experienced players. Very informative for everyone and still showing how unexplored most of the larger Campaigns remain. Thank you, it was a pleasure to write. It still feels a bit strange that the game is already over, but I'm sure Elxaime and I ...

Re: Rumyantsev Axis AAR - Soviets conceded turn 68
A couple of points. Firstly, all are reasonable observations and thank you sharing them here. Secondly, we will have a look at all the HQ speeds etc. I was the one who did the final review of all the OOB's, so I will put my hand up for any errors here. Expect this to be adjusted for the next patch ...

Re: Use of HQ units
Defenders in an assault also use the quality level of the unit with the highest quality, which might be an HQ.
In order for that benefit to apply, I don't think it matters if the HQ has an assault value, as that should only matter for calculating losses to the attacker.

Re: Rumyantsev Axis AAR - Soviets conceded turn 68
I don't think my opponent made any serious strategic mistakes, the Axis strategy would always have caused serious difficulties for the Soviets. The key strategic and operational problem for the Soviets, is that it is very difficult if not impossible to breach the Axis line anywhere in a way that is ...

Re: Clearing rubble hexes
Clearing RUBBLE will be considerably easier in 4.05, but that won't help you much with the ongoing game. I also don't know what effect 4.05 will have on ongoing games.

Re: Rumyantsev Axis AAR - Soviets conceded turn 68
Turn 68, 20:00 August 9th 1943. Night, visibility is 1. I'll post a screenshot from my perspective and from the Soviet perspective for each sector. My opponent Elxaime was kind enough to share his password after the game was over. https://i.imgur.com/cBxWME0.jpg https://i.imgur.com/0m0vs62.jpg Near ...

Re: SBWW2 Western Front DAR "Wiltz" NO Warhorse (yet)
Great AAR, easy to follow what's going on where.
Is it normal for rifle grenades to be this effective at knocking out lightly armoured vehicles in Squad Battles or was it a case of lucky (or unlucky, in your case) rolls?

Re: Units with boats
During Storm turns in FWWC, ferrying operations are impossible.
In this case, the units were move than 1 hex away from the river, so it can't be caused by the engineer unit not being able to supply units adjacent to it.

Re: Units with boats
An engineer unit only supplies a unit adjacent to it on the other side of the river, so on the other side of the river hexside from the hex where the engineer unit is. Could enemy movement have resulted in ZOCs/occupied hexes around the bridgehead? There is no limitation to the route or distance for ...
