Hi, how does one mod these games? I'd like to make volleys more effective and have units move further during a turn (I've noticed that in wooden areas, troops can only move one hex at a time).
Also, I'd like to know how to unfix "fixed" units and if there's any way to edit the number of turns (say, for example, from 15 to 100).

Some of these edits can be done by using the Editor and build a new scenario. Still more changes can made by building new Order of Battle (.oob) and parameter data (.pdt) files, and incorporating these into a new scenario.

# of turns is specified in the scenario header.
you can toggled "fixed" on or off for a unit and can also modify the release times - Units > View/Delete Releases and then create a new one - Units > Add Release

This series also has a map editor function that lets you build new maps from scratch.
