Bunker factor question

Next to BUNKER is the negative percentage on attack factors, often next to this is: +5 +10 etc.
What does the e.g., +5, add/modify?

There are two things that will help with this question. First, the manual has this section on bunkers:

Bunkers and Pillboxes provide an increase in the Defense value as well as the fire percentage modifier.

Basically, one factor, the fire percentage mod, is the same as what Trenches and IPs give - it modifies fire against the bunker occupants. The second, the positive value, boosts the defense value of the occupants if non-vehicular. This boost will be shown in the defense rating of the occupants - and in yellow color to show it is adjusted.

Also, if you hit the F3 function key to see the PDT values, and scroll to the bottom, you will see these values, which will match what you have noted with what the defense factor addition is, anyway.

Thx, just found that paragraph in the PzC manual!

For arguments sake, two units have a combined Defence of 50 (2*25), so this factor would be adjusted to 55.

re my example, the +5 adjustment is for each unit, so adjustment would be to 60.

Defense factors are not combined - fire is always calculated for the specific target unit, not a combined stack. Assaults may be slightly different but it is still calculated by unit's defense, not a combined value. So in your case, the defense would be 30 for a defense factor in the calculation for fire upon the units.
