English translation mod for units (read before you judge me lol)

Let me say first off that if a game had all English unit names to start I would not be happy. That kills immersion and is obviously not historical since not everything even has a direct translation.

That said I hate not being able to read the names of certain units. A lot of the German ones are easier because for some reason we decided to use German native speech when talking about their military. I am playing the French now in Fall Gelb and damn it would be amazing to just know what unit is what (besides the ones that are easy to make out. French isn't Russian so it's not impossible but it's still not great). Whenever I play as the British it is a breadth of fresh air.

This would obviously require someone to do tons of work, but if anyone thought about doing it or knows of one that is done please let me know. Thanks

In the "Manuals" folder there is a file called "F'40 Gold Abbreviations Glossary.pdf".
There the French abbreviations are explained - and are also translated into English.
