Musket Sound Effects

Mixed some musket sound effects for Napoleonics. Source was a Holdfast sound mod that had some single shot musket sounds that were pretty good. Layered and mixed them in an old audio editor called Goldwave, put them through a few filters etc. I think they may be a little loud. See what you think... Would be suitable for any Black powder game I think, so Civil War Battles, Musket and Pike etc.

I suggest you back up the original sound effects IWeapon0.wav to IWeapon9.wav and the skirmish sound effects SWeapon0.wav to SWeapon2.wav before copying in the new ones. They are located in the Media folder in the games root directory.

Edit (29-05-24), I've uploaded a new version with some minor edits. It is the version I currently use myself, I prefer it to the original, but the difference is slight.

Sounds excellent! Was just thinking about these firing sounds lately. Mixing these with some artillery sounds already floating around really elevates the soundscape.
