Hi again,
Again PzB Normandy's #0606_05: Sword Beach - The Road to Caen scenario. The hex marked on the screenshot #1 doesn't have obstacles marking on the hex info box. But when I move a unit into this hex, obstacles suddenly appear (screenshot #2). Is this normal?
Looking at other places on the map, obstacles seem to disappear from both the hex and the hex info box if there are any buildings on this hex.

I think that Obstacles are treated like units and it is the rules for Concealment which are operating here. So if they are in hexes with 1m or more height elevation eg buildings/scattered/villages/orchard etc then they are hidden.
They only become visible when you have a unit adjacent to it at the start of the turn?
That's my experience .......but I may be wrong.

On screen 1 you can see I have units on 5 of 6 adjacent hexes and these units were there at the start of the turn, so I don't think it is the case.

Paulus I started up the Sword scenario just to see how I dealt with it and experienced the same thing as you did. A hidden OBSTACLE. I'll probably post my screenshot in your LCVP thread.
My guess that OBTACLES were being treated as Units is correct but you are right that they are not revealed when adjacent at the start of the turn. The Concealment rules page 36 explains why...
.....OBSTACLES don't move.
There is no mention in the section on OBSTACLES page 27 that they are treated as units for Concealment so I guess it need added somewhere suitable in the rules possibly in the Concealment section?
