For me the El Alamein scenario would be fine (the one where a sandstorm is expected every 2 or 3 days, I hope you want to keep the axis part)
but it seems to me that Duncan has not included the title in his list. In any case, he will give us his opinion.

Good morning Gentlemen,

I had forgotten that I had El Alamein in my collection but not Salerno and whilst El Al would be acceptable (and the scenario that you suggested) my preference is still for the large eastern front games such as Moscow (41 or 42), Kursk 43 or the upcoming Smolensk 43 where you can really go to town with grand strategy as opposed to tactical warfare. Hope this helps....
