Graphics Roadmap

Post by phoenix1of1 »

Just a quick question to see if there were any potential roadmaps being drawn up for updating the "3D" viewed units?
I am currently playing Waterloo and I much prefer the 2d card representation for the units rather than the "3D" view because the clarity of the units lose something at that aspect.

I am in my 30s and remember my first experience of John Tiller games in the 90s on one of my first PCs, the units were good for the times and one of the things I love about the catalogue of games is that it brings a table-top style which is something that really got me in to minis, be it Bolt Action, 40K etc which is why it was awesome when I was able to come back and start collecting the games again.

I do see a niche in the market for digital table-top wargaming which is not something that was widely done out of the old SSI titles or even the WDS acquired JT games and whilst I continue to love playing the games at the 2d level, just really wondered if there was anything potentially lined up in the future for the "3D" zoom level?

Maybe you will get more response posting this in the Modding Section? There are a number of posts re: Graphics there.
