+1 awesome me too!
Hey Mike - - got a few going, an ES with Compass Rose and an ES and AOTR with kritterpaw. But I have been putting a lot of time into field work in ballistics. You know, chasing the little white ball! And now that my wifeykins has gotten back into golf this year, I have to play even more! Poor me?!

Re: Why is it so quiet here?
Gents,
I'll be honest. The draw and incentive for me even coming to the SB forum is to find PBeM opponents. If while I'm looking around here, I see an interesting topic, I may comment on it. However, each time I've come here looking for PBeM opponents - there's been no response. These "looking for opponents" posts will go unanswered for weeks. Even SB opponents I've played in the past who I contacted via pm have had no availability.
So, I have a few long-term SB opponents who I play against regularly. It's the case of diminishing returns. I'd much rather invest my limited gaming time on actually playing my game titles instead of posting on these forums and getting no responses.

I too prefer H2H, but am spoiled with the variety of my mods, so I like to play using them if possible. Plus most of my scenarios are larger, room to move around and such. Not everyone's cup of tea!KoolKat wrote: ↑Sat Aug 03, 2024 9:35 am Gents,

Re: Why is it so quiet here?
I have been playing some Steam games lately.
Even tried out the Close Combat Series.
There is 13 titles available as a bundle on Steam.
They are great. Sorta become addicted to them recently.
Will revisit the SB series again.
Looking at ACW Antietam at present for a change -I like it so far ,on 2nd scenario.
Bought it a year ago -took me that long to try it.
Like to vary my games a bit.
Thanks for the work you do to keep SB new and interesting.
I am looking forward to some SB games ,not many I have not bought yet ,to be in the weekly sales.
