Hello! So did you unzip this mod into the main folder where your other John Tiller games are, so it made a folder SBWW2 West Front? If so, all the sub folder mods will be in the mods folder, jsgme is in the main game folder. Usually a scenario will tell you which one to use, exit game, and run jagme select the mod from the left pane, hit the right facing arrow in the center, hit ok to everything, then exit. These change the terrain, and in some cases unit graphics as well. Cluncky way to do it, but not sure how else to enable? Give me a shout if the problem persists please!Gobser wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 3:36 pm Hi, esteemed Warhorse!
I am new to SB modding scene and hoped you could advice me on how to get your magnum opus working.
Every scenario I load gives me an error message, saying "error loading scenario" and I get a black empty map. I tried loading the graphical mods that are specified in scenario descriptions, but it produced no positive results for me. I have also noticed that some of the graphics mods that are required as per descriptions, are not there. The examples are "Frozen Terrain" and "Winter Terrain".
I have copied the .exe and the manuals to their appropriate places.
Can you please explain what is missing in my case? And should I really load the appropriate graphics mod for every scenario? Can I do it with game already running? Sorry, I am not familiar with JSGME at all

Although I wanted to mention again, that, at least for me, files for some the graphics mods are missing in the JSGME, the most commonly used one is Winter Terrain.
The top-down view is not something I am accustomed to. but it is very readable. so I am sure that I will get used to it

I need to reword the descriptions, Winter Camo is the mod name, changed it awhile back at some point?Gobser wrote: ↑Thu Nov 07, 2024 11:41 amThank you, after I updated it works beautifully now! Re: SBWW2 West Front released
This is a great mod.
A friendly suggestion though. It would be nice to see your mods consolidated into one thread.
Sometimes I'm not sure if I'm on the current version.
Cheers,

I would if I could lock the thread so there was no comments, but it gets too confusing with all the comments so I have each under the heading. West front has its own, the other two East fronts are under that updated heading. They are always the most updated versions. I know it is clunky but that is how I had to do it.

Re: SBWW2 West Front released
I’m thinking of buying Advance of the reich specifically to play this mod and the Eastern front mod too. Do y’all happen to have any screenshots of the mod or videos so I can see what it looks like? Thanks!
Re: SBWW2 West Front released
Hi guy, thanks for your interest!! So this West Front Mod is based on Eagles Strike, East Front Volume I is based on Advance of the Reich, and East Front Volume II is based on Red Victory. I will try to post some more pics tomorrow. For now, here are a few from a scenario in West Front called Gabr Saleh. Stay tuned, am always making scenarios and updating these mods!PopeAdrian wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 10:23 pm I’m thinking of buying Advance of the reich specifically to play this mod and the Eastern front mod too. Re: SBWW2 West Front released
LOL, it is a blast, if I do say so myself! A lot of battles with opponents and equipment you won't find in other games, period! Over 900 vehicles, hundreds of guns, and infantry weapons, and most countries of the war represented! Right now am adding in new graphics for flamethrower, engineer, and sniper units for all the country's, and a few weapons I missed before. Using JSGME, the modswapper utility included, different terrain for summer, winter, fall and spring can be enabled per scenario description, in winter, the vehicles sport winter camo if they used it, same with infantry. Combat odds have been improved over the stock game, and all armor values and range/armor penetration values have been redone to reflect more accurate combat with afv's as well. Am working on updating East Front Volume II at the moment, make an oob for a new scenario prompted me to do this latest enhancement bit. All updates will then carry over to the other two mods as well. As other titles are upgraded to the new versions, I have other mods in place to apply to them as well. All WW2 titles, with the exception of the Korean War, have that covered as well. Haven't started on any post Korean War titles as of yet, but a revamp of the Red Star over Europe mod is in the pipeline as well, eventually!PopeAdrian wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 12:20 pmOmg I NEED this!!!
