Thanks for the update, that is indeed good news. I believe we, the faithful WDS community, are completely confident that WDS is constantly working away feverishly in the background, bringing us not just new stuff but enhanced and bug fixed revisions.

I would like to see this series move into WWII Asia/PTO. While Eastern Front is great, we have plenty of WDS games on that subject. The SW series would be a good series to feature Malaya/Burma, India, China, and New Guinea/Solomons, to name a few.

How about naval and air units, not just a presence or an abstracted bonus, but actual counters. Not just operations, but operations with strategic consequences and winnable by either side with the proper use of strategic decisions. The way it is now, there is a strong operational feel, but you have little chance to win if you choose the side that lost the campaign historically. Unfortunately, there is no campaigns only scenarios.

Historical a posteriori bias. The usual curse of most of the boardgames and especially hex based.
Much of the logic/stats is biased towards outcome rather than simulating the actual capabilities.
Also do have ib mind that there is no way to reasonably implement human factors like traits of commanders or politicsl pressure.

An example could be depicting a Tiger Scch.Pz.Bn. In reality it was a mixed bag. Some were exceptionally efficoent while others were terrible. But in most games you see them rather overachieving.

Another one is Hitler declaring war on USA. It was situational. But for games it impacts most if not all game designs without any proper consideration for variables like this not happening (which is quite reasonable possibility should ze Germans manage to capture Leningrad or Moscov).

What a great hobby. There's literally dozens of potential titles, including an eastern front WWII title, a unified title consisting of all the WWII titles. Not only that, but you could release a title based on the American Civil War or any other war based on history. The possibilities are limitless. Though I can understand why updating the other series is more important regardless of the Strategic War series potential.
