War on the Southern Front is pretty good, a lot of room to maneuver, a lot of countries are included, including the entry of the US in WWII. There's a scenario that covers the Allied invasion of Sicily, and another one that covers the Axis invasion of Crete. Most of the scenarios are set in North Africa, but there's also a number of scenarios that take place in the Balkans, an area overlooked by most wargames. To top it off, all of the country of Italy is included, but unfortunately there's no scenario covering actions there, a scenario designer's dream.

Thanks for this. I'm considering getting Southern Front on the sale, and as I mentioned in my post, trying to replicate Rommel's full campaign, as I used to play using "Desert Rates," on the old Spectrum PC (1980's !) (Tripoli to Alamein?)
I'm also considering trying to create my own campaign. Have you tried any campaign creation and how difficult was it?
