Commanded units

There is an icon labelled "Commanded units".

When I click on this icon nothing happens.

What is it for?

That button applies when you are playing on a LAN or WAN in multiplayer mode with multiple people on one side. Then that button can be depressed and only the forces you can issue orders to will be highlighted. I'll clarify that better in the documentation for the next update.
