Can anyone recommend this series of books: Africa @War

Sample title:

https://www.amazon.com/Bush-Rhodesia-19 ... 83aa3bc82d

I am thinking of buying some of these books in order to get a better understanding of the wars in Africa. They might make a good subject for a boardgame using event cards, etc.

I believe Helion has several books on the subject, and this weekend all of their ebooks are on sale:

The Great Boer War by Byron Farwell

The Washing Of The Spears - A History Of The Rise And Fall Of The Zulu Nation Under Shaka And Its Fall In The Zulu War Of 1879
by Donald R. Morris

The Scramble for Africa: White Man's Conquest of the Dark Continent from 1876 to 1912 by Thomas Pakenham (A great read but not really focused in a particular war but a great foundation)

I picked up the book I referenced. Seems like a good book but the lack of maps led me to Google image search maps and I found some detailed maps I can use to reference while I read the book.

Thanks for the info, Rich. Helion is the folks that produced this book series. This series is perfect for the level of interest I have in the campaigns/wars.

I enjoyed reading a book on the Boer War some time ago by Thomas Pakenham:

Its a very detailed account on the war.
