2D/3D Map Mod

Post by Bigus »

2D/3D Mod.

This mod should work with all titles.
Also works with Modern Campaigns. (demo and Middle East 67 tested so far)

Version 3.9:

The mod has the following included.
JmodPC_Vx.x :(current version): This must be enabled first.
JmodPC_Alt Broken Terrain. This is an alternate for broken terrain in titles such as France 40 and shows flooded broken terrain.
JmodPC_Alt Desert: Desert terrain for titles such as Tunisia, Tobruk, etc.
JmodPC_Alt Jungle: This is for the Pacific Titles.

Alternate 3D NATO chits:
Note: You must unzip this file into a temp folder first (example: Downloads folder) to extract separate zip files. After that you can send one of the files to the MODs folder of your installation (see the readme file)

I really like this mod, its simple, clean and I can tell the terrain at a glance. Looks real good in Normandy. Thanks for sharing. Wish someone would "pretty up" those 3d counters :)

Thanks Bud. Appreciate the feedback.
I personally like the 3D counters. They are simple yet tell a lot.

I think the numbers in the 4 quarter are great, wouldn't want to see them go away, but the nato symbol is all but useless in all but the nearest zoom. Looks like there some room to make some improvements in that department.

We continue to tinker with the graphics including the 3D. We have a lot of improvements coming overall in the 4.01 patches but any improvement in 3D will not be in the upcoming round of fixes as they were lower priority at this point of time. Be assured though that everything is under consideration.

Understood, appreciate the response, your a busy bunch ;) . I find myself using the 3d view a lot in the PZC series, I get a better sense of terrain in that view.
Anything you want to spill about those "lot of improvements coming up" , inquiring minds and all :D

Anyway, don't want to derail Mr. Bigus thread anymore than I have, apologize for that.

You guys are doing a great job, and plan to support you with my dollars. Planning my Fall bulk discount purchase, kind of waiting for PZB Moscow as the PZB series is my favorite. Thanks again.

Added Version 3.8 (first post above) with alternate jungle files for the Pacific titles.
This is work in progress since I don't own any pacific titles yet. The mod should now work with all PC titles.
Thanks to Chad (Compass Rose) for checking this version out for me and sending me in game pictures.
