Hi AA, and thx !
The OoB updates will only be part of the advanced edition.
The basic edition will focus and stay on optional German tactical emblems, GUI, map and sounds only. This is for ensuring a quicker delivery ! Therefore, only vanilla unit stickers in basic edition, as per retrofitted OoB in v4.01...

Unit art samples.
Got a lot of tuning to "populate" units but it may be quite rewarding and immersive in the end !

Greetings Geyerfalck
Your advance mod unit box art is brilliant and adds so much more immersion. Your work is a great inspiration to fellow modders of WDS simulations. Please provide more snippets while we wait for the release of Mike Prucha's monumental France '40 v4.01. Will you be altering the 3D view unit map icons?

Hi !
Here are some more snippets... All divisional units but the last one : StuG Batterie, a Panzergruppe Kleist asset (Pz.Gr. emblem).
I'm afraid I won't alter the 3D view unit map icons, way too busy with 2D already
Ah erm... *cough* ... Steiner, I'll keep you posted soon with the initial part of the mod, so you can give a try and mercilessly report any bugs you may find !!

Thanks for the additional images! I love the small additions like PZGp Kleist cops emblem. It really appeals to historical regalia junkies like myself.
I will await a PM from you when you require my assistance in bug hunting.

Re: NATO vs German tactical symbols
A typical snippet design using a 3D model kit...
First, need to find a cool model like this : .
Then the entertaining (and long) stuff begins in Photoshop. Colors !
.
A mask is applied to remove the background... .
Then resizing + adjustments (exposure, contrast, brightness, vibrance...) can be done.
Once this phase is done, you finally - and hopefully - get a new snippet that fits your expectations. .
Ingame, the snippet is less fuzzy, this is due to resizing/resampling since I use a 3840x2160 resolution.

Hej svej, tusen tack !
The most difficult thing to achieve with snippets is to get things more or less harmonized in the end : especially color balance and tone which may significantly differ. Or high pass and overlay effects to be applied when models are too fuzzy.
I'd say that tuning is maybe the most time-consuming task to do because you always find something to optimize and change...
