Panzer Campaigns: Invasion of Tōkyō
Re: Panzer Campaigns: Invasion of Tōkyō
Episode 6
Shelling never stops. We were able to disrupt and push the Bōeitai Battallion of Hiratsuka back. We still haven't fully occupied Hiratsuka, but I reckon it will happen in a few hours.
We are obviously not talking about the anime Rikujō Bōeitai Mao-chan, if you came across it while thinking and searching for "What is Bōeitai?" We are talking about the Defence Forces that were prepared in case of an Allied attack to Tōkyō at that time. I would have watched that anime if I were 8 years old.
Some cannon and AAA arrived.
02/03/1946, 1200. Japanese marine battalions have been detected in Fujisawa. How am I supposed to assault them ? I shall think about it.
Blue-yellow ones are Japanese marine units.

Episode 7
We should continue bombing.
We have now completely occupied Hiratsuka. Occupation of Fujisawa will possibly take a few days. Their Bōeitai battalions have escaped. Now we have to deal with marines in Fujisawa.
Some cannon and AAA arrived.
02/03/1946, 2000. The sun falls and strains its back.

Episode 8 - End of the Second Day
They mostly retreated, except in Fujisawa. Bombardment doesn't stop at night.
It's turning into a bloodbath .
03/03/1946, 0400. In soft conditions. At least it didn't become softer.

Episode 9
The sun rises, I don't know who rose it.
It is time to move forward and rest for most of our troops. Except for Fujisawa and southern Kujūkuri Beach, there isn't much combat going on.
03/03/1946, 0800.

Episode 10
I have devised a plan for Fujisawa. We shall bomb and shell marines and do only limited attacks. On the 6th of March, new troops will arrive and we shall assault with them.
Some artillery, engineers and two army HQs have landed.

How good of a fight the AI is putting up defensively, in your opinion?
Re: Panzer Campaigns: Invasion of Tōkyō
It got a bit aggressive, to be honest. As you can see in the south of Kujūkuri Beach, they pushed an engineer battalion back with their cavalry, and I had to use carpet bombers to slow them down (and pray they don't hit my own troops).
It still makes mistakes like leaving troops in travel mode next to my units.
The front isn't too different to what I had seen in playthroughs with old default optional rules. The difference is my troops aren't as fatigued as I saw in those playthroughs.
It extensively makes use of scripted AI orders, however. There are like, 300 (I don't know the exact number, that's just an estimation) and time will tell whether those are all right or not.

Episode 11
We continued shelling and moving forwards. 14 kilometres until Chiba.
Two engineer battalions have landed.
03/03/1946, 2000. The sun sets. It lets itself = 5.
I have been ill for 10 days, sorry for not being able to play.
27th turn is when I started using 4.03.

Episode 12 - End of the Third Day
We slept under gun fire.
04/03/1946, 0400. The sun rises. The ground is still soft but the line of sight is now 4 kilometres.

Good morning everyone.
We started using carpet bombers as if there's no tomorrow.
Some cannon and engineers have landed.
