Thankfully because Simulacra53 had already made those updates for the Gold versions my work mostly just involved scaling up the map and unit images to fit the 200x zoom, and reformatting for the file reorganization. The scaling work for NATO symbols that I had already done for the Panzer Campaigns games was able to be imported, though there were a couple new ones I had to add (helicopters, for example). Additionally, I had to put together desert hex files for Middle East '67 using files from the El Alamein '42 MapMod, as Simulacra53's desert variant seems to have a dead download link. Overall it wasn't particularly difficult, taking only a couple hours.
Credit goes to Jison for the original mods, and to Simulacra53 for putting together the Gold updates. If Jison takes issue with me posting these I am happy to take down the links. I will also of course be happy to remove this post if/when official updates are made by Jison.
So, with all that said, I present my collection of updated MapMod versions for Modern Campaigns:
These will require JSGME (Generic Mod Enabler) or a similar software to install without having to overwrite files. If you'd rather just install directly I'd recommend making a complete backup of your game folder beforehand.
As advised by Jison on his website, the "Hex Outlines" setting should be turned off.

Jison also made a set of "Alternative Markers" (http://www.mapmod.se/d_markers.png), which have a different style for fortifications as seen in the linked image. Though I'm not sure if these were ever supported for the Modern Campaigns versions, I made variants for these anyway. They can be found in the big folder or linked below. Just drop the included Map folder on to the Map folder of your chosen MapMod and overwrite, or install as a mod in JSGME and enable after the MapMod (this will spit out a warning, but it will be fine).
The reason for multiple versions is because the GFX file containing fortifications is the same as the one with supply sources and deception units, which have varying colors between the '85 games and Middle East '67.
