Future of Series?

Why not just drop the "Early" in the series title. Rename it to "War in the Americas". It would broaden the scope and allow for more ideas.

PS: I agree Dion, The Seminole Wars would be an great topic for this series.

I think they should combine Civil War Battles and Early American Wars, and include The Seminole Wars and a Age of Sails type game. After all there isn't much difference in the warcraft of that time period, only in science, medicine, and basic technology. This would also broaden the scope and allow for more ideas.

I am sorry that these titles are not being updated in the same way as the others. I got so used to the new updates of the Napoleonic titles that now even if I wanted to start a French-Indian battle, I can't do it.

Sounds like this series needs to be updated bad. I would think the addition of naval actions in Campaign 1776 should be a priority. It would really add some flair to the time period, plus it would be consistent with the state of warfare for that time in history.

I actually played Age of Sail just the other day, so I'd love to see a new game covering naval warfare from that period.

An updated Age of Sail would be awesome! ...really hoping Early American Wars gets some love in 2025 to the UI. Even if instead of an update they did a complete re-do of 1776 or 1812, etc. as a pay-for-upgrade. I mean it is a business as well as a labor of love, WDS should be compensated for what I assume is a lower revenue series to make it worth the trouble. I would not be offended to repurchase if they came out as new Nap series titles even. I would most definitely purchase a new Age of Sail.

I've said it in the Naval Forum, but I can say it here as well. The Code Base for Age of Sail belongs to Matrix (along with Battleground etc). So, no re-release of AoS is on the agenda.
